I do like what BDReader is trying to accomplish (last update 2018, sourceforge, beta). It’s the only comic reader that attempts to detect and display the panels on each page. When it’s working well, it is a joy to use given that laptop displays are mostly 16:9 aspect ratio. So you get a full screen display of each panel and can move to the next via arrow keys. Sweet:)

Most of the listed readers here (I didn’t realize there were so many!) seem to try and do much more than I really want. I already have organized folders and don’t really need the features (and performance overhead) of the extra features. I just want to view, what is essentially, basic images.
