Another Linux alternative to Evernote is TagSpaces from http://www.tagspaces.org . It is open source, usable completely offline and with any kind of files. It is running on Linux, Mac, Windows and Android. It has even a selfhosting package. I’ll be happy if you can add it to you comparison article.
