GitKraken is listed as Proprietary license so post on something called “FOSS …” seems misleading to me. I found this page while looking for Open Source Git gui clients.

GitKraken, I suppose, is aimed at well established folks who can afford such prices. Or better yet, established organizations.

Me, from the comfort of my simple workstation at home, will stick to Open Source alternatives as well.

Those prices are per user, per year!!!

I’ll stick with Open Source alternatives. Most of the time I usually use basic command line commands.

I was always under the belief that I use open source software to avoid paying for quality software. And don’t misunderstand me, I am also a solid and steady “contributor” to the projects and Linux distros I believe in. But I can’t see myself paying for some software, when there are devoted programmers around the world who could use that money for a better use and crank out apps and packages that I can use with no problems. But thats just my opinion….

It’s a decent git gui, but if their servers are down or you are offline, it doesn’t allow you to use it.
