Hi Modou. A grammatical correction: “He was given the soliloquy “Benevolent Dictator For Life” (BDFL)” should read “He was given the sobriquet “Benevolent Dictator For Life” (BDFL)”. A soliloquy is the act of speaking one’s thoughts aloud when by oneself or regardless of any hearers, especially by a character in a play. Hamlet’s “To be or not to be” is one of the most famous soliloquies of all time. A sobriquet is an alternate name, honorific or “nom de guerre”.
