may want to check out HDD Super Clone … granted, it’s linux only, but this seems like a crowd that wouldn’t mind that. Excellent imager made by actual data recovery people.

I miss Relax-and-Recover, the best bare metal disaster recovery solution in my opinion. You can include existing backup solutions for data outside OS.
