I try playing retro games on Linux with RetroArch Emulator and I’m not very impressed. So I’m searching for a new emulator for Linux just to play retro games in this environment when you can’t go out. BTW this is an amazing article keep up with the good work.

You might want to have a look at RetroArch (Libretro) https://www.retroarch.com/index.php. It’s a bit heavy on features but some of those features sometimes drastically improve the look of many of those retrogames when playing on a modern PC, there are versions of RetroArch available for Windows, Linux, Mac, Several different modern game consoles, Raspberry Pi and more (There’s even an Android version that works on Tablets, Phones, and Android TV boxes), plus there’s even a Web based version!
