Sadly, it remains proprietary which keeps me looking for alternatives. I have found a couple that almost get there. Ghost Markdown has what it takes but I haven’t become used it. I default back to Typora rather easily, I’m afraid.
Justmd worked surprisingly well for being limited in scope. Maybe, that is just the point and if so, Justmd scores in making it.
Now that Justmd is FOSS, I will keep my eye on its development. Thanks, Martins.
